Gualicho grew up in Buenos Aires but is one of several artists constantly on the move, painting walls all over South and Central America.
His art is is very distinctive and colourful. As he paints, he creates new worlds made of inter-connecting animals and parts of buildings. He draws upon influences such as folk art, religious icons, comic graphics and 60s psychedelia. Many of his works have a cubist quality to them.
He uses latex paint, rollers and often ladders and scaffolding, which enable him to create very large pieces.
His large scale creations can be seen all over Buenos Aires and futher afield in South and Central America.
